Hours of Operation:
8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Library Schedules:
Schedules are monthly. Teachers can sign up to visit the library as a class or students may visit individually or in small groups of 3-4. While spending time in the library, students will receive help in choosing books to check out as well as participate in collaborative lessons created by their teacher and the Media Specialist. Collaborative lessons include, but are not limited to library skills, research skills, and reading skills.
Student Checkout:
Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade may check out 1 book. Students in grades 2nd-5th may check out up to 2 books at a time. Students can check out additional books for research projects once approved by their teacher and the Media Specialist.
Length of Time Students May Keep Items:
The loan period is two weeks. However, if a student needs to keep the book for another week then he/she may bring the book and renew it.
Overdues:
Reminder notices (overdues) will be sent out periodically. If a student has overdue books, he/she may not check out any more until those overdues are cleared. If a book is lost or damaged, then the student will be asked to pay a fee before additional checkouts can occur.
